Partners from UKCEH make a visit to Strawberry Hill, one of MAMBO's demonstration sites, to present a new research

5 April 2024

Scientists Dr France Gerard and Richard Broughton from the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology presented new research at Strawberry Hill, hosted by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Northamptonshire. They introduced methods for measuring habitat metrics, specifically focusing on woody cover and shrub biomass in rewilding sites.

MAMBO uses advanced data mapping to study biodiversity and carbon dynamics in shrubland habitats. Dr Gerard discussed the practical benefits of their findings, highlighting the importance of conservation efforts. Richard Broughton emphasized how their research addresses environmental challenges and aids in the conservation of shrubland ecosystems.
